La Mostra Virtuale

www.baskerville.it/rephil

The Virtual Exhibition

www.baskerville.it/rephil

The goal of the virtual exhibition on symbols, artifacts and patterns of philanthropy in the Mediterranean is twofold:  to  stimulate  new  research  outcomes in the field  of philanthropic studies, by  integrating  iconography and arts representation as well  as historical and religious studies in  comparative  perspective with a main focus on Catholic, islamic and Jewish tradition within a common framework  which  is  the Mediterranean in the long period; to generate a potential  dialogue  among  cultures and civilizations  through the vehicle  of solidarity and philanthropy.

The book is an example of a possible path based on the   mutual  interaction between collection of data and suggestion of scientific “imagination".
