Information about ANSA
ANSA, promoter of the Conference, is the biggest and most important Italian information agency.
Founded during the Second World War on January 15, 1945, ANSA this year, in its fiftieth year of operation, is able to assert itself as the first Italian agency with a recognized presence among the leading agencies in the world. Its first piece of news arrived by special delivery to a few clients in Rome three hours after the reported event took place. ANSA's mission then, as today, is to supply impartial, objective, complete and timely information to the media and to its direct users.
ANSA transmits daily around the world in four languages (Italian, English, French, and Spanish) through live, telephone and satellite hook-up. ANSA has for some time been developing on line technology to facilitate access to its information and to allow the direct use of its services by personal computer.
A complete reorganization of hardware and software now enables the use of the most modern systems of digital and interactive transmission, also through images. Furthermore, through internet and databanks, it is now possible to have access to some tailor-made services that in the future will develop into a personalized information system for the user.
